An exciting opportunity exists for a design manager to join the team at Hardie Grant Publishing, Australia’s largest independent publisher. Based in the Melbourne office, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest design standards are achieved and maintained in our adult books division, as that is an integral part of our reputation.
You will collaborate with publishers and editors on briefing documents and the design direction of publications; manage freelancers, designers and photographers; expand and maintain our connections with freelance photographers, stylists, designers and illustrators; and art direct photoshoots. You will also design and lay out books as required and manage our in-house designer.
