The seemingly simple yet complex design of this publication embodies and archives the work of renowned New Zealand-born contemporary jeweller Lisa Walker. Like her practice, the book is playful and seemingly chaotic (includes numbers written in Lisa’s handwriting and sections of overlapping text), reflecting the processes and concepts underpinning her work. Designed as a companion to Lisa’s 2019 exhibition at RMIT Design Hub Gallery, the book features Lisa’s meandering reflections on her practice in a bold typeface, complemented by a Q&A with the Curators. These texts are randomly dispersed among images of the 213 works displayed in the exhibition.
