Aimed at children experiencing anxiety, the primary aim of BaseCamp’s aesthetic was to inspire a sense of calm in it’s readers. Through the use of bright colours and flat but textured vector illustrations we sought to present the topic of anxiety in an approachable and friendly way, whilst maintaining a richness in quality special enough for the reader to refer back to in the future. The book takes the form of an adventure based on an Australian landscape; a map, tools and characters guides readers through using colours and patterns to represent the different landscapes and define each location.
