Bindi is a verse novel for mid-upper primary readers. It explores themes such as climate, bushfires and healing.

The cover and internal text illustrations are by talented illustrator, Dub Leffler. The typography is classic and sensitive and I wanted it to enhance the delicate pencil artwork, not to dominate it. I chose a soft cream colour behind the illustration to give it some warmth. The front cover type was foiled in a complimentary copper colour.

The endpapers are of an overhead view of the land, leading you nicely into the text pages.
