In the early design stages it became clear that the house motif was integral to nendo’s vision for the exhibition space. From a design perspective I wanted to highlight the pairing of Escher and nendo – as nendo created a home for Escher within the gallery, so does the slip case for the publication. Escher’s works are known to transform from one thing to another which I chose to mirror for the cover treatment, when placed side by side the full house motif and Escher work are revealed.
