Design Rationale

The book’s approach in terms of typography and image selection (for the cover and part openers) and hand drawn illustrations (done by the designer) are aimed at capturing a largely female audience. Each section in the book is delineated by a bold, earthy colour inspired by ìsuper foodsî and a more neutral palette for the features and tables give consistency throughout the book. The stencil font used in the folios are inspired by fair-trade food packaging.
