Garden showcases the author’s best landscape design work. As such, the design and art direction is bold and confident. Throughout, punchy typographic detail creates visual interest within a refined, simple grid. Commissioned photography of key plants and objects create striking first and final chapters, moving the publication away from a typical book-as-folio structure. To create further distinction, the cover design is intended to help the book feel like a desirable, unique object. Graphic photography, black spray edging, almost-flush binding and a very bold typographic spine create a tough, confident block: stunning on its own, and a strong tower when stacked.
