We wanted to make a book that couldn’t be consumed in one chunk and that had the complexity that would’ve appealed to us as kids, with lots of weird little bits that you didn’t notice the first time. We used the junk ‘meme’-type collage style you see all over the internet, and also made it echo D.I.Y ‘zines’, as though kids could go and make one themselves (we have already received 2 fan versions thus far). The book is typeset in over 100 fonts and we used scripts to mess with the rigid structure in InDesign. The cover has a fluorescent spot green with a psychedelic spot layer of UltraCoat.
