The second issue of IDEN explores the theme of ëmakingí in industrial design. In conceptualising the publication design for this edition, we interrogated the theme of ëmakingí from a number of angles through the book design itself. Given that making is at the core of a designerís work, ëMñW: makeñworkí, has been used for the identity for this edition. We made a hand-cut ëMí, which is the key graphic device utilised across the publicationóto badge, sculpt pages and pattern. Engaging with the content for each article, we made abstracted patterns that picked up on the themes within each text.
