King Rich is the story of a homeless man and his dog who live in the ruins of a luxury hotel after the Christchurch earthquake. Even though the character of Richard is a thin man, sick and malnourished I used a image of a jolly fat man bringing ideas of a well fed king to represent the brief period in which he was ruler of his domain.
