Right from the start I wanted to create a bold, graphic and ‘organic’ look. Text placement, hand-lettered font and layout played an important part as each spread has its own personality. Attaching Chris Nixons’ stylised feel to the project helped inject a wonderful sense of drama by introducing great textures and depth through overlays and playing with light and shade. Pushing the play between line work and shapes and patterns with a limited color palette.
