Mr Huff explores the idea of sadness and anxiety, so we wanted those themes to be communicated in a beautiful and meaningful way. Anna started by using a limited colour palette and incorporating detailed printing techniques. Designing the wrap-around scene on the cover gave the story a strong sense of place and introduced our cloudy nebulous friend. Having the title hand drawn and debossed gives the book a gentle tactile quality. The details in the endpapers encourage the reader to explore beyond the words, and hopefully see a ray of sunlight in the world outside.
