Designed to coincide with the galleries most ambitious exhibition the NGV Triennial was destined to be a large publication. With an extent just shy of 700 pages, consideration needed to be given to weight and navigation. 100gsm stock was selected reducing bulk and weight, whilst the cream paper tone added continuity, drawing the widely ranging content together. A suite of serif and sans serif fonts were used throughout the publication reacting to each entry. Encyclopedic like tabbing was added, allowing easy navigation and a scholarly aesthetic.
