-
A style of elaborately arranged bento (Japanese boxed lunch) which features food decorated to look like characters from popular media, animals, and plants. Japanese homemakers often spend time devising their families’ meals, including their boxed lunches. This updated vibrant cover continues to strengthen the recognisable Obento brand in a simple, uncluttered and authentic food-related design. The internal design follows on from the brightness of the cover with a rich palette of colour. The illustration style and pedagogical elements stay true to the authenticity of traditional and current Japanese comic and graphic novel styles.
