This ambitious book brings together a wide international selection of writing by educators and practitioners who question the rules and hierarchies of graphic design education today. The design of the volume strikes a balance between an archetypal high-modernist asymmetrical typography and a highly readable single-column format, with a nod to the work of British design luminary Richard Hollis through the use of a heavy text face. The modestly-illustrated volume is mostly B&W, but uses +2 PMS colours on a single page to reproduce a Yale logo system that emphasises gender diversity, and a grey ink is used for parallel narratives.
