Embodying a seasonal calendar, the book is separated into four parts, delineated by chapter breaks referencing calendar numerals in the Pidapido palette. Like the original brand identity, typography is modernist yet playful and irreverent, in the lineage of classic 60s and 70s Italian design. Each season opens with text capturing the spirit of the season, while ingredients brought to life through playful illustrations by French illustrator, Jean Jullien. The recipe pages are interspersed with memories; nostalgic archival material. The combination of the contemporary photography and Italian ephemera juxtaposes a traditional heritage within a contemporary Australian context.
