Design Rationale

As soon as I was briefed for a series about women’s’ AFL, I know I wanted to create a mini ‘Team’ out of the books involved. I created four different AFL Guernsey’s for each of the stories. Each Guernsey with its own personality to reflect the main character of each story. To make the covers even more fun, each Guernsey was handcrafted from coloured cardboard and photographed, giving them a 3-dimensional look. All the back cover, obviously, are Jersey backs, with the book numbers as the Guernsey numbers.
