A fictional story that revolves around the real events of the communist involvement of the waterfront strike in 1950s New Zealand. The manuscript has many references to matches and items being set alight, cigarettes, rubbish, fires, fuses, bombs. Early concepts used old 50s crime paperbacks and film noir posters that were a little too of a pastiche. The design reconstructs an image of an old soviet matchbox with the flame burning into the more modern type. A contemporary approach with a nod to old 50s crime paperbacks and noir posters.
