The restaurant has a dark, spot-lit, professional-luxe, Bladerunner vibe. Cover: Aimed to encapsulate the same play between ultra-modern and tradition. Primary colours on a sharp vector grid sits somewhere between circuitry and Chinese pattern. Colouring the fore-edge helps strengthen the book as an object. Text: Many of the recipes had distinct stages, which were almost little recipes in themselves, so the ingredients and method are designed to sit next to each other in their parts. I like the visual result of this system, too. Again, aiming for a feeling thatss contemporary and traditional and making the recipes easy to follow.
