About the Designer
Sue is an award-winning educational book designer with over 15 years experience in educational publishing. Her design career began when an opportunity arose in a niche publishing house working with the challenges of magazine design and layout. This was the springboard that propelled her to work across the gamut of design, art direction, illustration, printing and publishing. Sue is currently Design Manager at Oxford University Press and has been instrumental in refreshing the OUP brand.

Designed in a manageable double-page spread format, the book is designed with usability in mind — the links on the bottom of the page direct the reader to the recipes that relate to the section, the feature colour changes per chapter to aid in navigation, the large images provide a close-up look at what the text is talking about. Each chapter is introduced by a double-page spread of info-graphics that aim to present snippets of information to the reader in an appealing way.
