The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Graphic Designer who will be responsible for design and production of projects including marketing collateral, small to medium scale publications, brand material, members, education and program collateral.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Full Time, Fixed Term for 2 years

VPS 3.1: $64,583 gross per annum + 9.5% superannuation

You will confidently convey conceptual ideas and design layouts in a clear and interesting way for a range of design outputs including marketing campaigns, publications, sponsorship proposals, kids’ activities, program collateral and merchandise. Other key responsibilities include:

• Producing and managing high quality design projects including; the preparation of specifications, documentation, arranging quotes and procurement of approved services, preparing time and cost estimates to inform a precise process of delivery.
• Collaborating with internal departments, external designers and editors, on the design and production of a range of projects including the member’s Gallery Magazine.
• Maintaining the integrity of the NGV brand for all marketing material outputs including the development of templates and style guides.
• Assisting with the general workflow in the studio including the roll out of exhibition campaigns and collateral developed by designers in the team.

To be successful you will have a degree in Graphic Design coupled with demonstrated industry experience. You can produce project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified, ensuring project objectives are met by anticipating and managing potential and emerging issues. You also possess the ability to generate new ideas, drawing on a range of information sources to identify new ways of doing things, actively influencing and promoting ideas and translating creative ideas into workplace improvements.
