A River encourages a deeper connection with the environment through the depiction of diverse landscapes linked by one body of water. Text was set in Legato, a readable modern san-serif with soft curves and a humanist feel to compliment the organic, painterly style of the illustrations. The hand-drawn title and embossing was used on the cover illustration to provide a tactile quality that entices the viewer to pick up the book.
