Design Rationale

A guide straddling high-end accommodation and the spectrum of eating, from street food to five-star. The design needed to be both opulent and user-friendly. Cover: An illustration of an actual doorway in India that shows the melding of cultures and religions through pattern and architecture. Internals: Chris, the author, supplied snapshots from her travels. Itss rare to have shots of precisely what is being written about, so I used more, rather than less, and ran them small, alongside the text. A mix of classic serif fonts and colour-coded chapters hopefully make for a sophisticated, yet approachable read.
