This cover was an attempt to express both the internal and external chaos of one boyís life. Itís a clever and detailed text, so we wanted to exploit that detail through the intricacy of the map-like imagery. It was, ultimately, a highly designed cover. Finally, the diary-like text combined with the naivetÈ of the line illustrations attempt to hit the right tone of the bookís intended readership.
