The Andy Warhol | Ai Weiwei publication presented the challenge of creating an aesthetic that was complementary to both artists, resulting in somewhat of a balancing act between the use of colour, embellishments, fonts, paper stocks and linen. The common thread running throughout the publications was the use of silver, referencing Warhols’ studio and production techniques, paired with the more grounded/Weiwei-esque quality of grey pantones and linen. The hardcover was available in 3 varying silk screened linen covers, printed CMYK plus 2 PMS (silver/grey) 4 page uncoated tip ins throughout, gilt edging and blind deboss on back cover.
