Brief: Design a stylish demi-hardback for a witty book about grammar and language for very literary readers, and grammar geeks, by a legendary copy editor at the New Yorker magazine. Design: The subtitle inspired a crown constructed from punctuation, while the type is based on the well-known New Yorker house font. The spine treatment with its left-side black margin references the magazine’s cover treatment. The whole was kept as spare and elegant as possible. The endpapers are fully punctuated.
