The design of Decade was driven by the quirky social documentary photography of Rennie Ellis and plays on the juxtaposition created between serenity and chaos of his images. In an era of protest, free love and baby boomers we sort to create a distinctive cover that screamed like the tabloids of the day but maintained the irreverence of free spirit through the selection of partially masked the cover image. The tabloid concept was maintained throughout the photo essay with large scale quotes from Rennie who had narrated a number of the included images.
