Imogen is the art director at Text Publishing, where she has worked as a book designer and production manager since 2011. She manages the book and marketing design program while also designing covers for literary fiction, non-fiction, young adult and middle grade titles. A big-hearted romantic comedy, It Sounded Better In My Head is about friendship, family, love and the courage to let someone see you, flaws and all. The brief called for a modern, bright, fun take on the teen romantic comedy genre, something that wasn’t too twee or over the top but celebrated the character’s uniqueness while also capitalising on the strong title. A yellow colour scheme with pops of pink was utilized for a fresh, summery feel.
