KAWS: Companionship in the Age of Loneliness is the most comprehensive publication produced on the work of KAWS to date. As the book illustrated a much wider scope of work than that shown in the exhibition it was important to visually tie it to the NGV, for this reason we chose to focus on the GONE sculpture acquired by the Gallery in 2019.
Text design was approached with the same playful aesthetic KAWS applies to his work, however the serif font was specifically chosen as a scholarly juxtaposition. Due to the number of plates, a sense of pause is introduced - Details
