I loved this book. Working on the cover was a real treat, so it was wonderful to be able to revisit it again with the B format. The photo featured on the cover was found in an archive through the George Eastman House flickr page. I think she’s a shopgirl in 1960s New York. I felt she really captured the feel of the character of Lola in her own world (with amazing eye make-up!). I added some colour and lights around her echoing the chaotic feel of the music scene Lola finds herself in.
