As a series these books draw upon the necessity for a coherent design approach to give both a unique identity and a distinct sense of place and mystery. Several graphic devices are used to relate the books to each other: series typography, circus iconography and a subtle border/frame graphic. Placing these elements against Sam Hadleyís hyper-real cover illustrations have delivered covers that work with the authorís cleverly balanced magical and accessible writing.
