The publication makes a contribution to graphic design research. It is a thesis about the significance of materials in the generation of design ideas. To facilitate the readers’ comprehension the design comprises three components. A case-bound book presents the written analyses in parallel with digital facsimiles of the artefacts, and the Leperello bindings present the artefacts, tipped-in in their physical form.
