-
As long time Mirka fans, we wanted to create a tribute to the bohemian artistic flare of these two very influential cultural figures. The book needed to feel charming, creative and authentic. The title type was recreated from an old sign and we pushed for a cloth cover and ribbon that reflected Mirka’s canvas and doll making materials. Photographer Robyn Lea was commissioned to make assemblages of Mirka’s treasures to go opposite the recipes. The chapter colour palette was inspired by the colour in Mirka’s paintings and the recipe designs reflect Mirka and Georges’s famous French heritage.
