The publisher and I had to sell the idea that we could make this book a desired object, something so beautiful that it is irresistible, and their faith paid off. The duck egg blue cover serves as the perfect backdrop to the fairy wrens peeking out – once the jacket is removed the full beauty of Elizabeth’s painting is revealed on the inside cover.
