I love the MONA museum so reading about its history and development while working on the design was a treat. The trickiest part of the design was allowing enough space for the considerable content, while also making the most of the photographs we had the honour of being able to use. I wanted to keep the layout simple and allow the images to inform, confront, shock and amuse. The finishes included a deep black cover with fluro pink ribbon and painted edges – this really help this book stand out and gives a nod to the MONA museum’s weirdness.
