Design Rationale

This is an inspiring memoir by the founder of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Kon Karapanagiotidis. It is an important book so I wanted to create an urgent and inspiring cover. I was inspired by political protest posters and the DIY movement. I wanted the title to stand out as it so strong. So, I created a typographic cover contrasting the bold distressed type with bright fun Pantone colours to give it the sense of hope and positivity. It was printed on an unlaminated wibalin hardback for the texture. The internals feature bold typographic quote pages to compliment the cover.
