Design Rationale

The brief was to have a sense of the trade paperback so that was done through the colours and the use of the horse-head mask. We also needed to make it more obvious that the book is a childhood memoir so the young boy was used along with the sticker in the title. For the finishes, it was printed on the reverse side of the boards to give it an edgy feel to add to the atmosphere of Corey’s harder upbringing.
