The design brief for Welcome To Country Youth Edition was quite ‘brief’, we were creating a more accessible Education version of the Trade publication, so it had to tie in with the design of the original book, but also be user friendly for the youths reading it. Keeping that in mind, we also needed to take it from being a full colour book to being just 1 colour – working with percentages of grey and outlines assisted in creating layers of design into the book and allowing it to become a stand-alone design in itself.
