We Need to Talk About Bowie
We are all talking about Bowie. This morning, the day after the news of his death, book designer Jessica Horrocks at Text sent me her homage-parody.
With fine instincts she picked on the film tie-in edition of Lionel Shriver’s celebrated bestseller We Need to Talk About Kevin.
Tilda Swinton, who features in the film and on the cover, was a friend of Bowie’s and herself a great shapeshifter.
Bowie was a lightning bolt and in his wake we shed rainstorms.
