After spending time with the book, we decided to focus on the complete Mammoth, the mammoth in its prime. We always wanted to focus on scale, but also represent the journey through time.

Original ideas included the mammoth standing on the globe like a circus elephant.

We then moved onto a radiating visual, which also referenced the rings of a tree. By looking at those rings after the object has died, we are able to know its history and the history of the world around it.
