-
There were several challenges in meeting the design brief: 1) Continuing the successful design of the first edition without replicating it; 2) Selecting images that showed a diversity in race and gender in the age group (kids in years 9 and 10); and 3) Appealing to a mostly feminine audience without being overtly girly. Using a clean, sophisticated approach to the colour palette, image selection and typography addressed these challenges. The black and white close-ups with the spot fluro colour give the covers a contemporary feel and the colour schemes in the interiors were used as a tool for navigation.
