Ramen-topia is a cook book with a seriously ‘gifty’ edge. Illustrated by Alice Oehr in her bright strong poppy style each recipe has a fun graphic rendition of the finished dish. A bright red cover, big bowl of ingredients packed soup, the cover works hard to be as strong as possible in the cook book arena where most books are photographically based. I used a modern sans serif with a simple recipe setting bordered with graphics I asked Alice to supply so I could make my own shapes. The ingredients inside the bowls looked so good I asked for them
