In a time where people rely on strangers to validate their self-worth with a total disregard for privacy, this book brings attention to those who never asked for it – making them stars of a story they never sought to be in. The raison d’etre of The Institute, had it existed, was to create art under total anonymity. With respect to the non-existent artists’, the book is its redacted history.
