Supplied illustrations from an author are always a challenge. Supplied as line drawings only the call was to create a full colour cover that would have some impact beyond the sum of its simple and yet charming components. Careful application of colour, the addition of type and a retro-antique-y background all came together to make something of a whimsical and magical image.
