This series of read aloud picture books are unusual. They scaffold a system of play for adults: each book is a game to be played. The adult simply reads the text and the child will bring the game. Therefore target audience for the cover is the adult who will USE the book (see blurb design). We were inspired by vintage USER guides which informed our use of typography and gridded composition, rounded hardback corners on a portrait format, and an uncoated tactile cover stock. To ensure strong block colours the books are printed entirely in Pantones (inside and out).
