Imogen is the art director at Text Publishing, where she has worked as a book designer and production manager since 2011. She manages the book and marketing design program while also designing covers for literary fiction, non-fiction, young adult and middle grade titles. A young adult book that is both raw and real, funny and heartbreaking with a gutsy protagonist. This cover needed to speak to teen readers while not relying on characterisation, and have the possibility of extending to a general adult readership. The power and fragility of fire perfectly encapsulates the many moods of the writing and main character, while the dark grittiness speaks to the story and setting and an integral opening scene.
